Investigate Postgres 11 sharding by group
Problem to solve
Postgres 11 support sharding tables, which may be of interest for Geo and for improving DB performance by distributing the database across multiple servers.
It is also of interest to customers that want to shard data across different regions so that they can keep data within a certain jurisdiction. This may be relevant for GitLab.com if we want to allow certain data to be kept in Europe and not the US for example.
