Update /help home page to drop the docs readme content, clarify help resource links
In line with the plan to update all help links in the UI to point to the relevant pages on docs.gitlab.com (instead of to the copies of the help pages that are included with the software under <instance_url>/help
) https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab-ce/issues/56101, we should update the home page displayed when a user visits the home page at <instance_url>/help
.
Note: We should keep the special page /help/instance_configuration
, but the doc files themselves under /help can also be removed during the same milestone as this issue. However, this can be handled in a separate issue.
Needs:
- Update the content at the top of the page.
- Add links to the GitLab Documentation, Forum, and Support.
- Remove the README.md content that is displayed below.
The resolution of this issue could also fix https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab-ee/issues/2297
