Update CI/CD labels to Release and Verify
This issue is to gather all changes related to the latest product categories and cross-functional teams renaming. The CI/CD Team is splitting to 2 teams moving forward: the Verify Team and the Release Team, and this will impact many areas.
-
Update handbook -
Archive "CI/CD" label. This will be an interesting one that might be worth discussing how we should move forward with new "Verify" and "Release" labels. -
Create new Verify and Release labels -
Apply Verify label to all ~"devops:verify" items (remove ~"CI/CD" label at the same time) -
Apply Release label to all ~"devops:release" items (remove ~"CI/CD" label at the same time) -
Review remaining items with ~"CI/CD" label and apply the correct new label/remove ~"CI/CD" -
At this point there should be no items left with ~"CI/CD" label, so rename it (check MRs, epics, and issues) -
Update issue boards -
Update Roadmap docs -
Update team pages: https://about.gitlab.com/handbook/engineering/ops-backend/ -
