Microsoft Teams Notifications: Link to branch name not shown in push notifications
Summary
At this time, a link to the branch name is missing from the push notification sent to a Microsoft Team channel. It would be nice to have this so that a user can quickly jump from MS Teams directly to the HEAD of the feature branch a user pushed to in GitLab.
The Gitlab Slack push notifications service already has this feature. Did this feature never make it into the initial MS Teams implementation? https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab-ce/issues/24206
Steps to reproduce
- Create a repository
- Enable the Microsoft Teams integration
- Push a commit to any branch (master, my-feature-branch, etc.)
What is the current bug behavior?
For example, on a push to my-feature-branch:
The message is displayed in MS Teams as:
- "User pushed to branch in repository_name"
What is the expected correct behavior?
This should be:
- "User pushed to branch my-feature-branch in repository_name"
GitLab version info
- Appears in at least GitLab Community Edition >= 11.1.4
- Latest GitLab Enterprise Edition 11.3.0-ee on gitlab.com
Please let me know if further info is needed to help reproduce, resolve, or triage this issue. Thanks!
