We actually had a discussion regarding the word "pipeline" https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab-ce/issues/39923#note_94280468 😬

tl;dr - We decided to keep the word pipeline to have consistency across the CI/CD settings (screenshot below), email notification, the banner (this issue) and the documentation
