Long strings in issue titles don't get truncated or wrapped on Boards
Steps to reproduce
- Navigate to your favorite Issue Board.
- Click on the "+" icon in any presented list to create a new issue.
- Type a very long string into the presented "Title" field.
- Click "Submit issue" and observe the created issue.
What is the current bug behavior?
After taking steps above:
- The title of the created issue should overflow the container
- Attempting to drag this issue to another list should scroll the container of the original list (if dragging left-to-right, the container of the first list should scroll as it attempts to present the full string)
- When the issue is clicked, the title of the issue (as presented in the top-right of the sidebar) overflows the sidebar
What is the expected correct behavior?
- Titles should wrap appropriately and adhere to containers

Solution
-
For the card title, use
word-wrap: break-word
and setwidth: 100%
. -
Also, let
overflow: hidden
(see Option 2 above) be the fallback behavior for browsers that do not supportword-wrap: break-word
.
