Stop using RGBA for text color as it leads to worse readability on non-retina screens
Here is a screenshot of navigation items on my iMac. Left is currently used rgba(0,0,0,0.55)
, right is #727272
. For me the second one is much more readable.
- Yes, rgba makes sense to use in the case where we don't control background color like GitLab Labels. Let's keep it there
- Yes, it looks great on the retina but it's barely 20% of the user base. Considering people using external monitors.
