Issues uploading large release files on gitlab.com
Summary
When trying to upload large files whilst creating a tag, no status/error messages are displayed.
Steps to reproduce
- Open a project in Gitlab
- Click on Repository -> Tags -> New tag (which takes you to https://gitlab.com/username/project/tags/new)
- In the release notes textbox, try to upload a large file. I used a zipfile that was 138MB large (file available on request if you can figure out a way of me sending it to you). Either drag-and-drop the file or click "Attach a file".
What is the current bug behavior?
No status or error message is displayed.
What is the expected correct behavior?
Either a status message indicating the file upload status or an error message saying eg "file is too large".
Output of checks
This bug happens on GitLab.com
Additional notes
- I haven't been able to find anywhere a mention of the max filesize that can be uploaded to gitlab.com
- Once the tag has been created, if you try and add the same file to the newly created tag, the error message "Attaching the file failed." is displayed (this error message doesn't seem terribly useful).
- I highly doubt it is a network issue as I am using a computer at university (ie the internet connection is fast).
