Owner Can't Initialize Git Repo for new project in group

Summary

I created a new project in a group that I am the owner of but could not add a ReadMe for the project.

Steps to reproduce

1. Create new project in a group that you are owner.
2. Try to add a ReadMe through git interface or using git instructions

What is the current bug behavior?

Denied for permission reasons

Work Around

Make yourself master on the project. Add ReadMe to initialize repo. Leave project to give yourself owner permissions again/
