Unable to change profile picture

Summary

My profile picture reverts back to the default one, after I changed it and saved my profile.

Steps to reproduce

1. Click on the arrow in the top right corner of the web page.
2. Click on settings.
3. On the newly opened webpage, under Upload new avatar click browse file.
4. From the dialog window choose a profile picture that is inside the allowed size
5. Resize your avatar so it shows as desired.
6. Click Set new profile picture
7. Click Update profile settings

Expected behavior

The profile settings update and it shows your new avatar

Actual behavior

The profile settings update and it shows the default avatar.
