Unable to enable 2fa once disav

For some reason the token on my phone that I was using for the 2 factor authentication stopped working. I logged in using one of my recovery codes. Then I disabled and tried to re-enable the 2 factor authentication. I scan the barcode on my phone using the Google Authenticator app. However when I enter the pin code that appears on my phone in the web form, it says that the code is invalid.

Things tried: We set the timezone to automatic and even rebooted the phone.
