Unable to view MR Changes in IE11

Summary

Using IE 11 an error banner stating "Something went wrong on our end." is displayed instead of the Changes contained in the MR. This was first reported to me by users of my company's internal server (8.13), but I can reproduce it on gitlab.com too.

Steps to reproduce

Using IE 11, navigate to an MR and click the Changes tab.

Expected behavior

The Changes in the MR

Actual behavior

An error banner is displayed, the Changes are not.
