Middle clicking a file should open in new tab

If I middle click a filename in the files view and I hit the actual a tag, it will open it in a new tab but also open it in the current tab. This is highly annoying.

In gitlab < 8.9, if I hit the a, it would only open the file in a new tab, not the current one.

If I miss the a, it will only open it in the current tab (and I believe this was also the case in < 8.9).

The same applies to ctrl+click
