Redirect to new project link after a rename

Here's what I would like to do:

  1. Rename https://gitlab.com/gitlab-com/support-forum to https://gitlab.com/gitlab-com/support-tracker
  2. Have GitLab automatically redirect users from the old project to the new

Now I could just do the rename and break all old links, but that hardly seems nice and could cause people a lot of frustration.

What happens if I decide I want to create support-forum again? I think in that case we can expunge the redirection.

Is this feature a good idea?
