The @username should show real name in tooltip
~"feature proposal"
Summary
The @username
does not give information about the user's real name when used in a text.
Steps to reproduce
We currently have an LDAP backend we authenticate against.
The usernames are centrally managed, and have a very standard format like u<EmployeeNumber>
, like u15224
.
When we try to reference an user by starting to type the @
and the real name like @<FirstNa...>
, we get the dropdown menu which helps us to choose the right person.
However, once the auto-complete has finished, and we have the username in place like @u15224
, there is no tooltip which helps us to identify who is actually referenced, until we click on the name to follow the link to the Profile of the User.
Expected behavior
Is it possible to show the user's full name in the tooltip of the cursor when being pointed to the @username
?
