Missing tooltips on collapsed sidebar items

When hovering mouse over a collpased sidebar menu (only icons visible), there is no tooltip to describe what it is. I would like to instantly see full menu item including counter on mouse hover. Or at least simple tooltip with item label, like the one in top toolbar. Icons alone are hard to guess, especially less often used ones.
