Open the Geo API to edit a primary node

In !3923 (merged) we added the API to edit nodes through the API. But for some reason we block a PUT on the primary node.

I cannot remember why it's forbidden to edit the primary node through the API?

I have a customer asking to open this up. I don' see any reason why we should not.
