Add project in Operations fails with useless error message

Adding a project on the Operations page (https://gitlab.com/-/operations) fails with a useless error message:

Also the auto-complete in the "Search" field isn't very good, it's quite bad in fact, you have to help it a lot and most of the times the projects are missing and it's very non-deterministic. Maybe because I currently have a dodgy internet connection.
