Make GitLab (especially issues) less scary for non-developers

• Teams may find the complexity of GitLab daunting.
• In particular, if want non-developers to be able to quickly ideate and have collaborative conversations in GitLab, this may be daunting for users who have to look at sidebar with many fields, and a navigation with many menu items.
• How we can we improve this?
• Perhaps the ability to hide or simplify the UI elements in a page to only show when necessary?
