2FA not working out of the box with Gitlab-EE 11.1.4
I am running ubuntu 18.04, a fresh install with the latest updates, and nothing else.
I installed gitlab EE and CE (both version 11.1.4)with the installation instructions found here: https://about.gitlab.com/installation/
Afterwards I enabled HTTPS by setting the letsEncrypt line in gitlab.rb to true, and changing my gitlab url to my configured domain which points to my server's ip address, in addition to getting email working by following this (https://docs.gitlab.com/omnibus/settings/smtp.html#gmail) guide to setting gmail smpt for sending emails.
With these settings, I can access gitlab and everything appears to be working, however 2FA fails.
No matter which account I try it on, using google authenticator to enable 2FA fails with the error, "invalid pin code".
There are no instructions i have been able to find for configuring 2FA for gitlab installs, so I'm only assuming it should work out of the box.
I can provide any information required
