Allow adding issues to Epics which belongs to child group
We're having a situation as follows;
- We have this issue gitlab-ce#48397 (part of
gitlab-ceproject which belongs to
- We have this Epic gitlab-org/frontend&2 (part of
gitlab-org/frontendgroup, i.e. a group which is child of
- Now, we're trying to add mentioned issue into given Epic but we're getting this error;
We can't find an issue that matches what you are looking for..
This looks more like a privilege problem (although all groups, project and issue involved are Public). As API call to
/groups/gitlab-org/frontend/-/epics/2/issues which is made while adding the issue to epic throws
This is a common use-case especially in large organizations where there are several teams working on different areas of the same product, thus they'd have different sub-groups within common parent, and would also like Epics to be isolated from main parent group Epics. So would it make sense to allow such way of adding issues to Epics which are located somewhere within same ancestor group?
