Scheduled automated merges of mrs
- Developers work on code in individual, separate mrs. But they are not responsible for merging them.
- The developers are responsible for getting approvals, doing code review, and essentially getting the mrs to a merge-able state, including getting green pipelines.
- There is a separate automated process that runs periodically (e.g. nightly), that takes the ready-to-be-merged mrs, one by one, and merge them.
- As part of the automation, the mrs (the source branches of them), may need to be rebased along the way.
