Sort Audit Log in the UI

Problem to Solve

Audit Logs are a critical component of managing compliance within the GitLab environment. These logs serve as audit evidence artifacts and provide visibility for customers to have insight into their environment's activity. An inability to easily find information is problematic because it's time consuming and unhelpful when trying to answer important compliance questions.

The Project Audit Events table does not have a default sort order.

Users cannot change the sort order of this table within the UI.

This table is difficult to use in a meaningful way in its current state and lacks feature parity with the instance-level audit events experience.

Proposal

• Add a default sort order of Newest to Oldest
