Tab order in GitLab docs for screenreaders
I had a really interesting conversation yesterday with a partially sighted GitLab user, who mentioned one of the biggest problems for screenreader users of our docs is our tab order. She says that when a page is read to her, the tab order jumps around. When she interacts with the page using her keyboard, it goes left-down-right-down. She has some vision, and so this confuses her.

I just grabbed a random page from Stripe, and it DOES go straight to the center when tab-navigating (it’s not obvious because it doesn’t highlight anything, but it’s skipping both the top bar and the side bar): https://stripe.com/docs/multiple-accounts
Google’s help pages skip the side bar too. GitHub’s docs work like ours…
