Some Global Nav items are not expanding due to "&" and "." characters

The "up/down chevron" next to some items doesn't seem to be working, but I see no difference in the code. Verified in Safari and Chrome.

The places I've seen it so far are for:

• https://docs.gitlab.com/ee/user/packages/
• https://docs.gitlab.com/ee/user/group/saml_sso/
• https://docs.gitlab.com/ee/ci/yaml/README.html

Just a random guess, but could the punctuation in those navbar items be breaking it somehow? Two of those have . in them, and one has & in it.
