Consolidate Duo Agent Platform documentation

Problem Statement

Setting up and running Duo Agent Platform locally requires piecing together documentation from multiple sources. Engineers need a clear, focused guide to get started with Duo Agent Platform development.

Impact

Engineers waste time searching for setup instructions across multiple repositories. New engineers joining AI teams spend extra time figuring out how to set up Duo Agent Flow, which slows down their onboarding and ability to contribute.

Proposal

As Duo Flows require all currently supported services in GDK and flows can be initialised via the Web UI (not requiring extra client setups), we should focus on a documentation page that can get us from a fresh GDK installation all the way to executing a Flow on a users' machine

  • Clear setup instructions for the core components needed for Duo Flows
  • Step by step walkthrough to verify the setup is working
  • Troubleshooting tips for common issues

This is a more targeted approach than documenting the entire "AI stack" with all satellite components, focusing instead on what engineers actually need to develop and test core functionality of Duo Agent Platform.

Test the documentation by having an engineer follow it on a fresh GDK installation.

Key Resources

Expected Outcome

  • Documentation page exists in GDK docs with Duo Agent Platform setup instructions
  • Step by step walkthrough is included to verify the setup works
  • Documentation has been tested end to end on a fresh GDK installation and an engineer can execute a flow locally.
