"Waiting for GitLab at ..." never completes in Gitpod

Overview

When creating a new Gitpod GDK workspace, the terminal get's stuck at the "Waiting for GitLab at https://3000-.gitpod.io.................." message.

This is not correct, as the GDK will be ready before the message ever completes.
