Sync working sessions to make progress on notifications
Summary
To-dos and notifications have a lot of room for improvement in the UX, but haven't gotten a lot of attention from product. Maybe we can make some headway within the UX department with design thinking sessions to 1) better define the problem as we see it, 2) articulate the benefit of solving it and 3) present some directional ideas (maybe a storyboard, something lo-fi) to communicate possible paths forward.
Follow along - Most of our work is in this Agenda, Mural, and in Slack at #proj_notification_designjam
Challenge
Since this isn't a prioritized issue, we will have to prioritize this alongside other work. Maybe we can take advantage of no-meeting Fridays and personal growth/learning time.
Planning
Subject to change as we iterate. Feel free to update this checklist!
-
Gather existing research and issues here (August) -
Create a plan for what these workshops look like (eg. will we do some scrappy research, or jump into ideation? how much time commitment are we asking for?) (September) -
Create agendas and prep any tools needed (September) -
Hold workshops (Q3/Q4, ~ every 2-3 weeks) -
Summarize output from workshops (Q4)
After this issue is complete, the UX leadership team can socialize results to explore implementation options.
