Add severity labels to CI/CD UX issues
We should be using the labels to help with prioritization. Severity labels help us determine urgency and clearly communicate the impact of an issue on users.
What do we need from you? The task at hand is to go back and retroactively apply the severity labels, where appropriate. I recommend starting with UX Scorecard recommendations and UX debt issues.
Why is this important? We can see a large number of UX-related issues that are sitting in the backlog for extended periods of time. We need a mechanism to surface the issues that will have a bigger impact on the user experience. Severity is a way of prioritization today and I think we should be using it more than we are.
How we use labels
- Follow the definitions for UX severity in the handbook (note that this is not only for
~bugs
) - If your issue is missing a primary label, check the How we use labels section in the UX handbook.
