UX/TW Leadership: Engagement Survey Next Steps

Based on the feedback received in 1:1s with each team member, we've decided to focus on two specific areas:

  • appropriate recognition for a good job
  • communicating and encouraging learning and development opportunities

Next steps:

  • Add to 1:1 and team mtg agendas: ask about interesting team issues, MRs, or other efforts to highlight to the larger organization.

  • Highlight at least 3 interesting items in one of these areas by EOQ: UX channel, UX Weekly, UX group convo, What's happening at GitLab channel, blog post, Engineering weekly

  • UX Weekly: Upcoming TW Fundamentals training
  • UX group convo: Training deck and related issues
  • whats-happening-at-GitLab channel: New docs home page
  • UX Weekly: New docs home page
  • Communicate GitLab L&D opportunities in TW Team Mtg, including where to learn more, how to get a LinkedIn Learning account, new budget for conferences and training

  • Add to TW Team Agenda: What conferences, trainings, or courses can you share with your team members? Discuss once, then make a Read-only item for each week
