Blog article about Pajamas use
In the 5/14 UX Group Conversation, we discussed whether Pajamas would be valuable as a feature in our product:
- Sid: Should Pajamas be a GitLab feature?
- Christie: Most companies have their own custom design system. If not, they are using something like bootstrap or material design. Not sure if other companies would be interested in this tool or not.
- Jeremy E: From a contributor feature it is very helpful. It has been forked and a UX school has used it as an example.
- Sid: maybe we can consider having a blog post to talk about what it is and why we needed it. If you are a customer or user of GitLab- is there demand for this tool? People don't know to ask for a design system- hard to discover demand based on nomenclature.
Let's write a blog article that explores why we created Pajamas, how it helps us and contributors, and how it might be valuable to other companies. Open a linked issue to explore whether customers would find it helpful as a product feature.
