What's my coordinator url?
Hi! First off, thanks for creating this great service!
Now to my question, and I might be confused here, but I've created a private repo on gitlab.com, that is, I don't have a self-hosted Gitlab instance. I'd like to add CI to that, using ci.gitlab.com. As I understand it, I need to have a server somewhere as a build runner and for that I use the GitLab CI Runner, which is fine. But when I run sudo /opt/gitlab-runner/bin/setup -C /home/gitlab-runner
after having downloaded the runner from https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/omnibus-gitlab-runner/blob/master/doc/install/downloads.md
, I'm asked what my coordinator url is. When I've looked around, all I can find is that the coordinator is part of the Gitlab installation, but I don't want to install Gitlab or Gitlab CI locally, I just want a local runner that communicates with gitlab.com and ci.gitlab.com. What should I enter as the coordinator URL?
Oh, and another thing, I'm behind a corporate proxy, and it seems as if the setup script doesn't look for the http_proxy
and https_proxy
environment variables, as I get connection time out errors for whatever url I enter.
