Project created using most built-In templates do not inherit the default external authorization label
Summary
Projects created using most templates built into GitLab will have a blank external authorization label, despite a default label being set for the instance. This occurs with all templates other than Ruby on Rails
, Spring
, and NodeJS Express
.
Steps to reproduce
- Enable external authorization and set a default label via
Admin Area -> Settings -> General -> External authorization
- Create a new project using the
iOS (Swift)
template included with GitLab - The new project will have the 'lock' icon at the top right for external authorization, but no label will be present
What is the current bug behavior?
External classification label is blank when using a template project.
This occurs with the following templates as of v12.2.1:
- iOS
- .NET Core
- Android
- Go Micro
- Pages Hugo
- Pages Jeckyll
- Pages HTML
- Pages GitBook
- Pages Hexo
- Netlify Hugo
- Netlify Jeckyll
- Netlify HTML
- Netlify GitBook
- Netlify Hexo
What is the expected correct behavior?
External classification label is set to default label.
Relevant logs and/or screenshots

Correct: default label is present
