Embed file or snippet as Markdown snippet in Wiki
As a user I would like to externalize a snippet from my Markdown in the wiki to a file or even the Gitlab snippets feature so that I can reuse the contents of the file and edit those snippets in my IDE.
Currently the snippet must be embedded in the Markdown like the example below: Example JS Snippet
var a = 2;
Gitlab has a snippets feature for sharing snippets and I would love to include a rendered version of the snippet in the markdown without having to copy and paste or simply adding a link.
Another specific use case I have right now is showing off my plantuml diagrams and Gherkin scenarios along with the the documentation for them which is written in Markdown. Would love to see the markdown just take the contents out of the file, placed in the markdown to be rendered, and then have it treated like a normal snippet.
Right now my plantuml diagrams have to be embedded in the markdown to be displayed which means I can't reuse any elements. The gherkin files have to be external or Cucumber would not be able to automate them. This means the Gherkin files must be a simple link to be viewed.
We like to show the Gherkins alongside our use cases. This way someone could follow along the scenario manually if no Cucumber code yet or someone just wants a specific example to follow to understand a feature.
