Unable to connect to kubernetes cluster with haproxy load balanced api service
I have a local gitlab instance and a rancher instantiated kubernetes cluster. The kubernetes cluster has three master servers which are running the api control plane. The three api control planes are load balanced over an haproxy server. I have a dns record which is pointing to my haproxy server, which in turn proxy's the requests to the api control plane servers.
When I try to integrate kubernetes into gitlab, I enter my haproxy url to reach the control planes, gitlab is giving the error message: There was a problem authenticating with your cluster. Please ensure your CA Certificate and Token are valid.
I already sniffed the connection with wireshark, and can see that the connection to the control plane is aborting in the TLS1.2 protocol with TLS error 80 (internal error). Which means that the problem is originating higher up the stack, most probably in the application layer of gitlab.
I checked my gitlab log file for kubernetes (kubernetes.log) but this log file is empty??
Where should I be able to find logging about the integration process of kubernetes?
