Maven Repository documentation should describe token scopes better
The documentation for deploying artifacts into the GitLab repository (https://docs.gitlab.com/ee/user/project/packages/maven_repository.html) states that a CI or personal token is needed.
It links to documentation for creating personal access tokens and has information about how to add the token into your maven file but it does not state what scopes are needed for the personal access token and (if applicable) what privilege the user needs to have to see the correct scope.
I'm looking at the available scopes when creating a personal access token now and all I see is read_repository
, write_repository
and read_registry
.
The first two seem to apply to the git repository itself which is not what I want, the third one is only for reading and I'm not sure that the "registry" is referring to the Maven repository or just the Docker registry.
At any rate, this is all rather unclear to me.
