Epic roadmap timelines do not propagate up to the parent epic
Summary
If we have epics that are nested more than 2 levels deep. The top parent epic does not show all the child epic timelines.
Steps to reproduce
Quality Department is moving to Epic Roadmaps for the entire department roadmap. The epic structure is 3 levels deep.
- Structure
- The parent epics render the timeline nicely from their child epics &1460, however the start and due dates are "none" even though the roadmap timeline is populated
- As a result the top level epic does not show the correct timeline. &1543
Example Project
Navigate to &1543
(If you are using an older version of GitLab, this will also determine whether the bug is fixed in a more recent version)
What is the current bug behavior?
Only one timeline entry is shown. This is because that epic has issues in addition to epics. And the issue is scheduled to a milestone. The milestone information from child epics are not taken into account.
What is the expected correct behavior?
We should see 5 timeline entries in Navigate to &1543
