Follow-up from "Edit Knative domain after it has been deployed"
The following discussions from !25386 (merged) should be addressed:
-
@tauriedavis started a discussion: Unfortunately, you'll still see the
upgrading
spinner when updating the domain and theupgrade failure
(previews in description) message when the request failed. Can we make a UX debt issue as a follow up?
Currently when we update the Knative domain, the upgrade
API endpoint is used in order to save the domain. As a result of this, the frontend responds as if an upgrade is in progress.
- When the request fails the frontend will display an
upgrade failure message.
Since the frontend is using theupgrade
API in order to update the Knative endpoint, the request to save changes takes very long.
Ideally the the Save changes
request should not result in any upgrade related changes on the frontend.
