Gravatar image not showing on profile page

Summary

After having switched to using a Gravatar profile picture, the profile page is not showing the avatar anymore. The top-left menu, however, is displaying it correctly.

What is the current bug behavior?

Safari:

• is showing the questionmark-image-placeholder

• right clicking it: Open image in new tab shows: Error 503 Backend fetch failed
