Clarify members count on group page
Right now, the count showing the number of members on a group page is incorrect (or at least, there is no way to understand what the number represents).
For example, the support group shows , but if you go look at the list of members for any of the subgroups, there are 334 members (since they're all inherited from the parent group).
If #44958 (moved) is implemented, we could maybe update this to be number of groups + added-not-inherited members? If not, just a straight up count of the number of members from the Members page would at least mean the two counts match.
This is particularly important for our paid group subscribers, because there is some confusing between the number of members they're being billed for and the number of members that are showing in the counter for (sub)groups.
For example (confidential): https://gitlab.com/gitlab-com/customers-gitlab-com/issues/311
Proposal
Clarify what this number is in 2 places:
- https://docs.gitlab.com/ee/user/group/ should specify that this number is project-specific.
- The tooltip presented on this page, pictured here:
Should read "Members specific to the project or group. Does not include inherited members from any parent groups." (or something way more concise)
