Confirm instructions on SSL for GitLab Pages are accurate and optimized
Now that Chrome will be releasing v68 this month which displays a "Not Secure" message in the address bar when visiting an HTTP site, there may be additional interest in enabling SSL for Pages.
We currently have multiple pages on this:
- https://docs.gitlab.com/ee/administration/pages/ => admin-only docs
- https://docs.gitlab.com/ee/user/project/pages/ => up-to-date
- https://about.gitlab.com/2016/04/11/tutorial-securing-your-gitlab-pages-with-tls-and-letsencrypt/ => updated and moved to the docs (https://docs.gitlab.com/ce/user/project/pages/lets_encrypt_for_gitlab_pages.html)
- https://docs.gitlab.com/ee/user/project/pages/getting_started_part_three.html => updated with https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab-ce/merge_requests/30049 (also addressing https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab-ce/issues/45569)
-
Are they all up to date? Yes. -
Is there anything to consolidate/deprecate/rename? I don't think so. -
If a user lands on one but needs information in another, is the other page linked in the right place/manner? Yes.
