relative times in german translation are off by a few order of magnitudes
We are seeing some issues with the relative times for users that use the german "preferred language" setting.
For example in the project list (comparing to englisch):
("vor einem Jahr" means "a year ago")
The project in this screenshot didn't even exists a year ago. The whole instance is just about 6 months old ;).
Here is the same issue in the list of issues:
("vor x Tagen" => "x days ago")
As you see, it does not happen for all dates but only for some of them.
For me, without having looked deeper into this, it looks like some kind of misinterpretation ("18 hours" => "18 days", "1 hour" => "1 year").
I know this feature is experimental and that translations aren't perfect yet. Just haven't found an ticket for this particular issue yet so I created this one.
Tested on:
- Firefox 60 on Fedora
- Chrome 67 on Fedora
- Chrome ? on Windows
GitLab Version: 11.0 (ee)
We are running an omnibus installation on centos but I can reproduce the same issue on gitlab.com:
