Make code tags consistent in discussions
Problem
- Sometimes
code
tags get misused to emphasize something, which should be done by using bold - The visual index of code blocks is much higher compared to other markdown content
- Inline code blocks and normal code blocks are inconsistent
Proposal
old:
new:
-
#f2f2f2
and#2e2e2e
- Lose the border on normal code-blocks
Considerations
- Passes color check with
#f2f2f2
and#2e2e2e
: https://webaim.org/resources/contrastchecker/?fcolor=2E2E2E&bcolor=F2F2F2 - The normal codeblock is adjusted by the Syntax highlighting theme, we should see if this works well for similarly for the other themes
cc:
- @tauriedavis (as you have done previous work on the markdown/typography)
- @pedroms (as you have been involved with our color management)
