Permissions on project wiki pages per person
Description
Problem
When working in production environment certain documents cannot be shared with all employees/project members.
Declining access to all the wiki pages is unacceptable, as of we may want to share with them some of the documents, but not all. Some informations are sensitive and should not be provided to everybody on the team, but we want them to be in a single place.
Production configurations, notes on how certain things are deployed should have an extra layer of protection.
Use cases
Working in a company/firm that has a lot of employees on the same project, but everyone has a different role and should not access all files.
Not everyobody should be allowed to see sensitive information in certain wiki pages describing production settings and such.
Benefits
- Custom control of what page can a person/group see on wiki of a project.
- Restrict persons from seeing production critical information on wiki.
Proposal
Add fine-grained permissions on project wiki pages per person/group.
- Project members could be assigned permissions to read certain articles on wiki.
- There could be a setting to set default state when creating a new page (if it is viewable by everyone on project by default or not).
