Wiki UI and UX Issues (Community Edition)
Description
I started using the project wiki and noticed it has a few flaws. I found it difficult to navigate and not very intuitive.

When creating a new page, you can see a message below the title textbox that reads
Tip: You can specify the full path for the new file. We will automatically create any missing directories.
This modal doesn't provide the user with an example of how to add paths (i.e.,folder1/file.name
orfolder1\file.name
orfolder1 > file.name
. It might be in the documentation for the wiki features, but it now requires the user to go out and hunt that down. -
After clicking on the
Add Page
button, the modal shows up for a title to be input, you clickCreate Page
, but the page isn't created. you still have to click a secondCreate Page
button for the page to be published. This should be changed to Publish, AND the page should be created when clicking on the firstCreate Page
button.
- Optionally, please move the Add Page button to the sidebar to give more attention to that area.
- The page editing view shows two buttons that have the same styling (green-accept button). Please move the New Page button out of this view onto the sidebar or a dropdown (similar to the existing
+
dropdown for quick-adding new issues/merge requests. Either that or changing the colour of the buttons.
