A mechanism to say "thank you" to the developer and give examples of uses of his/her work
Description
The idea was suggested by Amelia Bellamy-Royds on Twitter. It was for GitHub but it is certainly relevant for GitLab. I quote her: "a built-in way for people to post "Successes" as well as "Issues". ⇒ Here's a link to a website I made with your tool. ⇒ Thanks for saving my behind on this project. ⇒ Your documentation is awesome, this has been so easy to use."
Proposal
Either:
- a new menu "Testimonies" (next to "Issues") with a way to create testimonies such as "I used your excellent library in this project [URL]". This is my favorite solution.
- a new template for Issues, for testimonies (but I don't like the idea to mix things that require action, like Issues, with Testimonies)
In both cases, the maintainer must be able to configure the publication of the testimonies: published by default, hidden by default (with a way to decide "Publish this") or even "No testimonies accdepted".
