Incorrect guidance stating blocked users will be removed from groups and projects as members
Summary
I've noticed this text, when blocking a user:
User will be removed from joined projects and groups
However this is not enforced currently.
Steps to reproduce
- Create a new user
- Let this user join some projects and groups
- Block this user
- Unblock this user
- Check the joined projects and groups of this user
What is the current bug behavior?
The text would suggest, that this user is no longer in his previous joined projects and groups after unblock
What is the expected correct behavior?
I would suggest to remove this confusing text, when blocking a user, as it doesn't really make sense imo.
User will be removed from joined projects and groups
Relevant logs and/or screenshots
Possible fixes
Because we use scripts to automatically block certain users, we don't really want this option to work. Want does GitLab plan here for the future? I would suggest to remove this confusing text (User will be removed from joined projects and groups), when blocking a user, as it doesn't really make sense for this to work when a user is blocked imo.
