'Esc' flow from file search

From the project home page, you can press T to navigate to a file search. When you press Esc, you would expect to be returned to where you were. On GitLab, though, when you press Esc, you are taken to the files page, not the page you began at.

Esc should return me back to where I was Here it takes me somewhere new
