Load Balance Testing

We're collaborating with a very large and strategic organization and this issue is regarding feedback they had sent me as part of their evaluation of GitLab.

A few questions to answer:

1. How can one accomplish load testing on a GitLab instance? We're talking up to 20,000 users.
2. What are the necessary steps and best practices when conducting a load test for GitLab?
