Cycle Speed Suggestions

Description

To go faster from idea to production, we should not only tell the user how fast they are going, but also how they can go faster.

With Cycle Analytics, CI, Auto-deploy, Review Apps, we have all the tools to speed up your cycle time, in going from idea to production.

We should start suggesting ways to improve this, unobtrusively.

Proposal

Offer links / buttons, for instance in Cycle Analytics, that help you improve specific points. For example

  • IF you aren't using GitLab CI or a CI integration THEN show a link set up CI that makes a MR with a .gitlab-ci.yml template
  • IF you aren't using Issues or an integrated issues THEN show a link to set up Issues
  • IF you aren't using Review Apps THEN show a link set up Review apps to improve review times
  • IF you aren't using Chat integration THEN show a link set up Chat integration to interact directly with GitLab from chat
